What Paramour does

• Chat with AI characters on iPhone and iPad, including the foldable iPhone Duo. Characters remember what you tell them and, with a subscription, write to you first and send pictures. They can also reply by voice.
• Send voice messages, share photos and Moments from Journaling Suggestions, and talk on live voice calls.
• A Journal of your days, and optional links to your calendar, Apple Health (sleep, steps and active energy) and your approximate location for the weather.
• Widgets and notifications, outfits, and a relationship that develops over time.

Your account and data

• Delete your account and its data in the app: Settings, then Privacy, then Delete my account. It happens straight away. It does not cancel your subscription.
• Get a copy of your data: write to hello@paramour.fun from the email address on your account. We email you a JSON file.
• View, edit or delete what a character remembers in the app. Turn off Journal drafting, health sharing and photo backup in Settings under Privacy.
• Calendar, Apple Health, location, microphone, speech recognition, photos and notifications can be changed at any time in iOS Settings under Paramour.

Subscriptions

• Without a subscription you can send 5 messages each day. A subscription (1 week, 1 month or 3 months) removes that limit and adds live calls, pictures from characters and messages your companion starts.
• Cancel in the app: Settings, then Manage Subscription, then Manage in App Store. Or open iOS Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Paramour. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge.
• Refunds are handled by Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.
• New phone or reinstalled app: tap Restore purchases on the subscription screen.

Reporting a reply

• Press and hold the reply, then tap Didn't Feel Right? and tell us what was wrong. Reports are stored with the message for us to review.

Limits

• Without a subscription you can send 5 messages a day, and there is a limit on how fast you can send. When you reach it the app says so. You can send again the next day, after a short wait, or with a subscription.
• Live calls need an internet connection and microphone access. Voice messages need microphone and speech recognition access.
• Heat alerts come from the US National Weather Service and only appear in the United States.
• Calendar, health, location and photo backup are optional. The app works without them.

Safety

• Paramour is for people aged 18 and over.
• Characters are fictional and generated by AI, never real people. They are not a substitute for professional, medical or emotional support.
• If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line such as 988 (US) or Samaritans on 116 123 (UK).
